Working on my Master's Degree

Sounds so weird to say that, but I am! I am 4 days into my first term and feeling a bit overwhelmed. Lucas is celebrating me starting school with a fever and LOTS of cuddling, which although I love, makes it difficult to get much school work done. And of course, I can compare my grades to the class average and some of my classmates have the first four assignments done already. I keep telling myself those are the ones who aren't working or married and don't have children. Makes me feel better. I am taking two classes this semester. One is pathophysiology which is pretty much a biology class so that is good for me, and the other is sort of a history of midwifery in America. While this class has a TON of reading and writing which I hate, I am enjoying all the interesting things I am learning about midwifery vs. obstetrics, how it all came about, and the benefits and drawbacks of each. I am still confident I have made a good decision to become a midwife and do it now and through this school.
On a somewhat related note, Kyle and I have both decided to be better about working out and eating well, myself especially as I need more discipline with the added school work. So far this is going well and I feel I have more energy, even if I am getting less sleep.
Also, I have the most amazing husband supporting me and encouraging me. I could not and would not do this without him.
